Move the ranksOpen the pass

Crown Pass turns the classic sliding-block puzzle into a journey of terrain and teamwork. Read the formation, share every open cell, and find the one route that leads south.

Simple to begin. Deep enough to stay.

One clear goal. A road that keeps changing.

Slide each piece without rotating it and guide the 2×2 commander through the illuminated gate below the board. The rule is immediate; the consequences of every move are not.

I

Every move changes the formation

Open space belongs to everyone. Move too early and you close tomorrow’s route; wait too long and the commander has nowhere to turn.

II

The board becomes terrain

Missing corners, mountain walls, rivers and commander-only passages reshape each puzzle without burying the classic sliding rules.

III

Troops learn to cooperate

Engineers complete crossings and survey hidden exits. Naval troops wait on river cells to release scarce land for the whole formation.

A board you can read

The landscape is part of the solution.

Advanced chapters add one idea at a time, then ask you to combine them. Every symbol has one consistent meaning, and contextual actions appear only when they are legal.

Mountains divide the route

Permanent terrain creates pockets, bottlenecks and meaningful irregular boards.

Rivers hold naval troops

Water becomes useful waiting space while land troops keep to dry ground.

?

Engineers reveal what is hidden

Reach the lower edge, survey carefully, and uncover the true southern exit.

A deliberate learning curve

From classic space to combined arms.

A short interactive opening teaches the movement language. From there, each chapter asks for a longer plan and introduces only the tools needed for its next idea.

What is the goal of each puzzle?

Guide the 2×2 commander through the illuminated two-cell exit below the board. Pieces slide horizontally or vertically without rotating and cannot overlap terrain or one another.

Does Crown Pass require internet access?

No. The game, artwork, music, rules and solution demonstrations are included on the device. There is no account, advertising or cloud requirement.

Where is my progress stored?

Your active board, undo history, cleared puzzles, records and settings are saved in the app’s private local storage. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data may remove that progress.

Why can’t every troop cross a river?

Only naval troops and helmsmen can enter, cross and stop on river cells. Mountains and cliff cells are permanent and cannot be entered by any troop. The in-game Board Guide explains every symbol.

Which devices and orientations are supported?

Phones use a focused portrait layout. Tablets include dedicated portrait and landscape arrangements, with the board and controls reflowed for the available window.

How do I control music, sound and haptics?

Open Settings from the Journey screen. Music, sound effects, haptics and music volume are controlled separately and saved for the next session.
